Persuasion is a novel by Jane Austen about an woman who must choose between marrying for true love or financial stability. The story follows Anne Elliot, a woman on the cusp of her 27th birthday. Against her family's wishes, Anne is in love with a young navy captain from a low class family. The novel follows Anne and her beau throughout their tumultuous relationship.
