The Pathfinder; Or, The Inland Sea

The novel tells the story of the efforts of Natty Bumppo, known as "The Pathfinder," to guide a military expedition through the wilderness of upper New York state. Through the course of his journey, Natty encounters Native American attacks, wild animals, treacherous terrain and other dangers. Ultimately, the expedition reaches an inland sea.
