The Story of Old Fort Loudon

The story of Old Fort Loudon is one of violence and betrayal. Built in 1756, it was meant to be a shelter for British settlers in the Appalachian Mountains. However, it was besieged and eventually taken by Cherokee warriors in 1760. This led to the massacre of the fort's garrison, a tragic end to a once-promising settlement.
