The Mysteries of Udolpho

The story follows Emily St. Aubert, who is orphaned and left with her aunt and uncle. When her aunt dies, and her jealous uncle marries a cruel woman, Emily is sent to a strange castle called Udolpho. She then meets many strange characters as she attempts to uncover the dark secrets of the castle.
