The Postmaster

The Postmaster is a story about a young man from Calcutta who is sent to a remote village to work as a postmaster. Through his interactions with the village people and a young orphan girl, he begins to appreciate the simplicity of village life. However, he becomes ill and longs for his hometown, leading to a tragic ending.
