Break a Leg

"Break a Leg" is an idiom commonly used in the performing arts world as a way to wish someone good luck. It originated from the superstitious belief that wishing someone "good luck" would jinx their performance. The phrase is meant to be taken figuratively, as breaking a leg on stage would result in a successful performance. It has now become a lighthearted and common way to wish someone well before a show.
