Prisoner of War is a military term used to describe someone who has been captured by an enemy during a conflict. This person is typically held against their will and may face mistreatment or harsh conditions. POWs are protected by the laws of war and are entitled to certain rights and treatment, but their ultimate fate is often uncertain.
