The hyena

The hyena is a carnivorous mammal known for its distinctive laughing call and scavenging behavior. It is found in parts of Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, living in packs and feeding on carrion or hunting small prey. With its powerful jaws and strong digestive system, it can consume almost any part of an animal, including bones and hooves. Despite their sometimes negative portrayal, hyenas play an important role in their ecosystems as both predators and scavengers.
