In the final part of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Tom and Becky get lost in the caves and are found by Injun Joe. Tom escapes, and Injun Joe dies in the cave collapse while trying to hide his treasure. Tom reveals the location, is hailed a hero, and returns to St. Petersburg with Huck as a pirate.
