Summary
Quentin Durward is a novel by Walter Scott about a young Scottish soldier in France who helps thwart an assassination plot against King Louis XI. His courage impresses the King and he is rewarded with a high position at court. Durward eventually falls in love with the beautiful Isabelle, daughter of a powerful nobleman.
