Divine Adventures: A Book of Verse
In this liquor impendent;

Then life were as jolly,

As its spirit of folly;

Titania were sweeter,

Were magic completer.

To plunge in the sea foam,

That the island should be foam.

This rascal were better,

In handcuff and fetter.

And faith, hope, and charity,

As the spirit of parity.

[Pg 65]

Of pleasure's consumption.

To see and be seen,

Important of state,

Of worth to relate."
