LOVE’S SECRET.

I breathe it to the rose at dawn,

To the violets blue,

The secret of my soul new born,

And love ’tis all of you.

I tell them of a vision fair,

A dream of bliss divine,

And as their perfume fills the air,

My heart seeks only thine.

I plucked the buds all blushing red,

The violets so blue,

They seem to say with drooping heads
