Approaching the mountain, he anticipated encountering Ogres, akin to those in the game "Warcraft." These were ordinary Ogres, not the giant ones that required even more sustenance. Each ordinary Ogre consumed at least two or three innocent people per meal, explaining their bloated bellies. Should Brutols locate their hideout, he intended to exterminate them. However, the Ogres' lairs were well-hidden, evading detection from most.

Chapter 3: Encounter with Bandits (2)

The Ogres' behavior resembled that of wolf packs, though far less cohesive. Once their opponent was mostly subdued, they would often turn on each other, lacking any sense of loyalty or teamwork. This lack of unity often allowed prey to escape. The Ogres' dim-witted nature prevented them from recognizing their faults; they repeatedly made mistakes without acknowledging them.

“Grumble! Grroark! Grr! I found a bunch of human corpses at the foot of the mountain! Hahaha, I had a feast and brought the rest of the bodies back!” A massive, muscular Ogre emerged before the others, undoubtedly their leader. This Ogre displayed strength tenfold that of a typical Ogre and wielded a powerful spell: Bloodlust. This spell enhanced the combat prowess of already bloodthirsty and battle-hungry Ogres, making them even more ferocious.

“Long live the chief! Long live the chief!” The brainless Ogres cheered, showing no curiosity as to why the bandit gang had perished on the road. Unaware of Brutols' approach, their reign of terror was nearing its end. After his recent battle with the bandits, Brutols felt stronger and more confident in facing the Ogres. His fire elemental abilities thrived on real combat, growing only with constant practice rather than simple target training.

It was akin to human potential, only unlocked in the face of danger. Wisdom like Mencius's saying, "Born in hardship, die in comfort," applied to Brutols. He constantly pushed himself to become a powerful being beyond his own imagination. Despite his achievements, Brutols remained humble, ever-aware of the endless potential for improvement, seeking stronger foes for continual growth.

However, Brutols was no troublemaker or tyrant; he aimed to protect the weak and vanquish evil. He had a knack for finding opportunities, almost as if he were bound by a protagonist's destiny, even though he considered himself just extraordinarily lucky. Luck was with him again as he soon spotted an Ogre scout, a creature resembling a pig-headed brute that might fetch a good price at a market. But Brutols was no butcher; he recognized the Ogre from various games, realizing that real-life battles were far more challenging than in games where a click of a mouse or a keystroke sufficed.
