"Ula Ula~" The indigenous people chanted, incomprehensible to the trio.

"Hey!" Xue Ying shouted impatiently, distressed by the topless men. "What do you want?"

"You’re from China?" One native surprised them by speaking Chinese, leaving them astonished.

"Yes!"

After the Chinese-speaking native explained to their leader, the trio followed them to a forest tribal settlement.

Situated by a river, the settlement's wooden houses were surrounded by defensive structures, including towers and watchposts, with a gate and fences to fend off wild animals.

"Ula Ula…" Uka Lan, the son of the tribal chief and leader of the group, welcomed them. A robust figure known for wrestling tigers barehanded, he was revered as the village war god.

"What’s that sound?" Yang Feng asked.

"It’s the ceremonial horn, welcoming honored guests."

"Oh!"

Uka Lan led them into the village, where the residents greeted their leader joyously. Hunters prepared prey for a feast, anticipating a lively evening.

"Welcome, guests from afar." The tribal chief greeted them in Chinese, surprising Yang Feng and his companions.

"Wow!" Yang Feng exclaimed, "Didn't expect the chief to speak our language!"

"Humph!" Yang Feng deliberately coughed, catching Uka Lan’s attention, who glared back with undisguised malice, clearly indicating his intentions. Even a fool could see what he wanted.

Unfortunately, Uka Lan, a strong and clever leader, turned into an idiot when it came to emotions, completely ignoring Yang Feng.

"Sigh!"

Mo Hancheng noticed something off about Uka Lan’s demeanor. Unexpectedly, this barbaric man seemed to have taken a liking to Xue Ying, which spelled trouble! The room was thick with tension—like gunpowder waiting to ignite. Yang Feng and Uka Lan squared off, while Xue Ying sat indifferently, paying no attention to either of them.

"Uka Lan, do not be rude to our guests!" The elder chief reprimanded.

"Yes, father."

The elder chief knew his son well; though all the women in the tribe were available to him, none piqued his interest.

"Didn’t expect the young chief to speak Chinese, I must apologize for my ignorance," Mo Hancheng said, aiming to defuse the situation since they were on foreign territory.

"No worries."

Under the guidance of Kalan Tu, the trio was led to a wooden building. Xue Ying’s room wa
