The Flame Messenger: King of Supernatural Powers
ards — magic scrolls. These untouched scrolls were now his, neatly fastened to his armor’s belt for easy access.

No sooner had Brutols advanced a few steps than several menacing guards caught up to him. These guards looked wicked, evidently intending to claim Brutols' head for a bounty. Knowing he had no choice, Brutols didn't hold back. Unleashing several massive fireballs, he turned these guards into charcoal, contributing to the world’s energy supply. Regrettably, he couldn’t find any new magic scrolls on them. Such scrolls were precious, akin to a weapon's bullets, and having more could only benefit him.

“Let’s see what these scrolls contain,” Brutols said, ensuring the area was safe before inspecting the scrolls he’d taken. They were advanced magic scrolls, meant for emergency use by the tower guards. However, these guards hadn't even had time to plead for their lives before being incinerated. Brutols found fireball and invisibility scrolls among them. The fireball spells were useless to him, as a fire elemental wielder could produce fireballs effortlessly. While invisibility might seem handy, Brutols felt leaving silently wasn’t in his nature.

No, Brutols intended to create chaos in the tower, plundering some valuables before leaving — a Robin Hood act of sorts. The magic tower, filled with eunuch-like magicians researching to accrue wealth and oppress the laboring poor, was a sight he abhorred. Thus, he decided to turn these detestable magicians into charcoal.

To Brutols, these magicians' ultimate spells seemed like slowed-down supernatural abilities. Their slow casting made them easy prey due to Brutols’ reactive agility, honed from fighting other superhumans. His flame shield provided an invisible layer of protection, igniting into fierce flames upon any contact with an attack.

“Alright, let’s start this glorious redistribution of wealth,” Brutols gleefully noted the gold coins taken from the guards. It seemed substantial enough to buy some good food. Alongside the gold were numerous gems — magical gems, legendary and powerful, though he yet knew how to use them.

Soon, several armor-clad guards, lighter and seemingly more agile, rushed towards him. But Brutols was far more nimble. He threw a dagger, splitting a guard's head in two, and used a fireball scroll to incinerate another. These free scrolls spared his energy reserves. Quick with his longsword, Brutols efficiently dispatched several guards who tried to encircle him. Underestimating him as a mere magician, they were swiftly overwhelmed by Brutols' superior hand-to-hand combat skills.

Yet, the guards seemed endless, like an unceasing tide. Brutols knew he needed a strategic position. Finding a narrow tower corridor, ideal for defense, he prepared for the onslaught.
