Bloodthirsty Divinity
sonal jade token to this young lad!”

Chen Fei quickly confirmed, “Yes, Senior. Our leader sees tremendous potential in Ba Qiyun.”

The elder’s eyes sparkled as he scrutinized me, making me feel as if he could see right through me. Stroking his beard, the elder muttered, “His aptitude is mediocre, age a bit advanced. What does Xiao Ke see in him? Well, whatever, since he values this young lad, let him in.”

He instructed, “Inside, you can study but not take anything out. You must exit once every three years. To fully comprehend the manuals, there are special isolated caves.”

I learned that the Martial Arts Pavilion has three levels: the first contains basic techniques, the second houses mid-grade martial arts, and the third offers six high-grade and two top-grade manuals. Whether I could comprehend them depended on myself.

“This is the third person allowed on the third floor,” the elder added before returning the jade token.

The second floor was deserted, a testament to its exclusivity. Moving towards the central shelves, I was surprised to see the girl from the Dark Division’s hall. What was she doing here?

She glanced my way before resuming her reading of a book titled “Gathering Vital Energy,” which detailed methods to conceal one's energy. I surveyed the 32 mid-grade manuals, finding none that appealed to me until I spotted one focused on divine sense cultivation.

“How could this be here? Divine sense isn’t something just anyone can possess. My master once said that those with divine sense are unparalleled rulers.” Remembering the vastness of the world, I accepted it and moved to the third floor.

The girl, puzzled, wondered, “Why doesn’t he study the book immediately? Why is he just carrying it around?” She considered following me, hesitated, then resumed her reading.

On the third floor, I found a man and five manuals on the middle shelf. Two appeared to be sealed, resting atop the others. Clearly, one manual had already been taken by the man.

He glanced my way, then proceeded
