 some energy.”

After a while, the lion’s pain subsided, and it transformed into a young man roughly my age, reaching the eighth level of a grand martial artist. He slowly spoke, “Big... brother.”

I marveled, “You can speak now?” Realizing my foolish question, I looked to Qianyao, who had turned away, blushing. Remembering the lion was naked, I quickly took off my shirt and gave it to him.

Qianyao turned back, saw me shirtless, and smacked me. Dodging, I grabbed some leaves to cover myself just in time. Qianyao composed herself. I thought, "How can she get so flustered seeing a bare-chested man?" I said, “Turn around. We need to make some clothes out of leaves.”

“Alright… I won’t look.”

As we made clothes, I saw the lion struggling with the leaves, using its mouth to bite them. I sighed and made him a set of leaf clothes before finishing my own. “Alright, we’re done,” I said to Qianyao.

I asked the lion, “What’s your name?”

“Ouyang Qianyao exclaimed, “Are you the Thunder Lion King’s inheritor from legend?” She asked the lion, “Do you know your background?”

The lion, smiling plainly, replied, “I have some memory of a lion like me, but it was adorned with thunder and seemed semi-transparent. Is that what you mean?”

Qianyao took a deep breath, “Yes, that’s it. Unexpectedly, you’re a descendant of the Thunder Lion King.”

She pointed at the lion, “I want you to be my mount.”

The lion immediately declined, “No, I want to follow big brother!” making Qianyao stomp her feet in frustration.

I asked the lion, “Why do you want to follow me?”

“You saved my life, but more importantly, something within you attracts me. I feel very close to you.”

I scratched my head, thinking, “Could it be something in my space ring? That’s impossible. Or maybe it’s the four mythical beasts within my dantian?” I couldn’t reveal either possibility.

“If you like me so much, stay with me. Since you’re the Thunder Lion King’s inheritor, I’ll call you Thunder.”

The name thrilled him, while Qia
